Storyline:
This is an experimental Narrative movie. Although not a religious story, we (the writers) referred to a haunting question from our Christian upbringing; "what if Jesus came today". So we started writing the story with consideration of how exactly this miracle worker might be documented and possibly even followed one day. For starters, this particular messiah is gay.

User review:
The events in this movie takes place in Mugu during the Maoist insurgency of 2001. the first thing you need to know about this movie is that the main characters don't speak nepali as we know it. its hard to understand what they are saying and sometimes it feels like they are speaking a completely different language. There are nepali subtitles to help clear things out but if you are someone like me who don't have much talent in reading nepali then you probably wont understand most of the dialogues which unfortunately includes punchlines, ongoing jokes and some serious poetic lines as well. But its alright if you don't understand the dialogues because this movie speaks volumes through its visuals. Actually most of the storytelling is done through visual camera-work rather than dialogues. The cinematography is breathtaking and you cant really go wrong in placing the story against the backdrop of Mugu, which in itself is a very beautiful place.
The screenplay is brilliant, the acting top notch. Every character is brilliantly played. The child actors were specially good. There are very raw imagery of village life portrayed in this movie. and im surprised how dedicated these actors were to be involved in such a audacious project and to give their 100 % by sometimes even chewing on straws picked up from ground. and we thought Leo was a good actor just because he ate raw fish.

User review:
The plot is talking about last day at school three of 12-years old teenagers coming from different families. The director slowly showed us their worlds. You feel that in some moment something it's gonna happened but you don't know what it's gonna be… The final of this story is shocking, very strong and what is more scary- based on the real story.I have never seen in my life more stronger final of the movie.Film only for adults. Director is asking about the roots of evil and we he showed us that even children are not free from them. From the other side Bartosz M. Kowalski has touched the problem so often not absent, overworked parents who have no idea how really looks like the life of their own kids.

User review:
Comedy-drama from the Disney company about a youngster (Bill Mumy, of TV's "Lost in Space") in the 1900s adopting a baby raccoon who quickly becomes the town menace. Impossibly warm and treacly saga that Walt himself might have been proud of (it seems a direct product of the late 1950s, not 1969!). However, the animals involved are consistently interesting, far more so than the hysterical grown-ups, and Mumy is solid if unspectacular (he wasn't in the same league as, say, Johnny Whitaker, though he's competent). Steve Forrest and Elsa Lanchester are unable to add much sparkle to the proceedings, and Buddy Baker's music score is teeth-grindingly sweet.

User review:
This movie is only half an hour long, but it seems like hours, or days. It reminds me of when I had measles for about two weeks as a child (before there was a vaccine), with a persistent, very high fever.
Time stopped, all senses were intensified so much they hurt, colors were hyper-saturated, and everything looked shimmery like it was baking in a desert. Nothing seemed real, and it was horrifying. It was like living in a nightmare that would never end, but the fever was so high I couldn't sleep. That was 60 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

User review:
So bad it becomes good again. The acting in this one is horrible, the transformations are horrible, the make up is horrible.Actually everything is horrible. But it still is fun to watch, especially if you enjoy older horror flicks.Watch it when it airs on tv,it's not worth renting or even buying it.I'm not sure whether the producers of this flick were trying to mock werewolf movies or they were trying to make a serious movie. It looks more like a comedy then anything else.

Haru, an aging scriptwriter, has isolated himself somewhere in the woods of Nagano to work on his first novel. As the last surviving member of his kin, he intends to chronicle the family he grew up in.
User review:
Its a common story: a human damaged by parents. Its common enough in life to resonate with nearly every viewer, which is a plus. But its so common that it needs some novelty with the similarly required depth. I do not know whether this is from Shindo's life or not, but I suspect so from the rich details that can only have been pulled from life as obvious memories.
The story is simple. A boy has a mother who is dedicated to him in every way, emotionally engaged and prepared for extreme sacrifice for the smallest pleasure for him. On the other side is a father so stern he makes Bergman's Scandinavian Lutherans seem mild. The mother dies when the boy is 11; all the siblings have fled and the boy at the end is stuck with his father, penniless. The thing is framed as the book the boy writes, now old and missing key parts of his soul. Lots of snow. Lots of lonely stares that contrast with the wide eyes of the boy, selfish and demanding.

Sweet Sweetback's Badass Song 1971
1h 37min | Crime , Drama , Thriller | 22 March 1973 (Netherlands)
Storyline:
Melvin Van Peebles wrote, directed, produced, edited, composed and starred in this powerful and inflammatory attack on White America. After the body of a black man is discovered, Sweetback helps two white 'acquaintances' in the police force to look good by agreeing to go with them to the station as a suspect. But he is forced to go on the run after brutally attacking the two policemen when they arrest and beat up a young black man.
User review:
Considered the first blaxploitation film, Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song features Melvin Van Peebles (who also directed, wrote, produced, edited and did music for the film) as Sweetback, a Los Angeles-area "male prostitute"/"sex performer" (who only has relations with females). He agrees to be taken in to a police station as a suspect just to make a couple cops look good (because they are tolerant towards the cathouse he lives in). On the way, they pick up a Black Panther and start beating him senseless. Sweetback bludgeons and stabs the two cops with his handcuffs (one end is open) and the bulk of the film has him on the run. Can he make it to Mexico before he's caught?
Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song has a lot of historical significance. It is an early independent film in what's considered the current "modern" style, it is one of the earliest mostly black films of its era (there were all black films earlier, such as Oscar Micheaux's work, but they disappeared for awhile), it was controversial (it initially earned an X rating (later changed to an R) and touted that fact proudly as a tagline), it was made for $150 thousand but grossed $15 million, and most importantly perhaps for some film lovers, it is credited with starting the blaxploitation craze in the 1970s. It is worth watching for students of film on those merits alone.

Sleepaway Camp 1983
1h 24min | Horror | 18 November 1983 (USA)
Storyline:
After a horrible boating accident kills her family, Angela, a shy and sullen young girl, moves in with her eccentric aunt Martha, alongside her protective cousin Ricky. One summer, Martha sends the kids to Camp Arawak. Soon after their arrival, a series of bizarre and increasingly violent accidents begins to claim the lives of various campers. Who is the twisted individual behind these murders? The disclosure of the murderer's identity is one of the most shocking climaxes in the history of American cinema.
User review:
Slightly disturbed and painfully shy Angela Baker (Felissa Rose) is sent away to summer camp with her foul-mouthed cousin Ricky Thomas (Jonathan Tiersten). Not long after Angela's arrival, things start to go horribly wrong for anyone with sinister or less than honorable intentions.
This film is either loved or hated, and with good reason, but it has been embraced more and more as the years go on by fans of the horror genre. The acting is excessively cheesy, especially from Desiree Gould, but purposely so. The kills are grisly and nasty, even if not always shown on screen. When that curling iron strikes, you know the situation. And the pedophile cook? Oh man… that is pushing boundaries that even horror films dare not cross (Freddy Krueger can be a child killer, but not a child molester).

THey come upon a camp meeting, where the fanatical Reverend Spotts is conducting a revivalist meeting and during the religious frenzy, George blacks out. He comes to and is alone, and is unaware that the Reverend has been murdered, and starts in his search to find Milo. He finds a home with the Dodds, small town store keepers. When, at supper, Dodds makes mention of the murder of the Reverend Spotts, George blurts out that "The Fool Killer done it" and tells them the legend as told to him by Dirty Jim. That evening, while George lies in bed, a shadow appears at his window. It is the figure of a tall, gaunt apparition, ax in hand ready to strike—"The Fool Killer!"

I was a part of the filming of this movie.I appeared in at least one scene as an "extra" and was there for the filming of many other scenes. It was filmed on location in Knox County and Blount County in Tennessee in 1963 and premiered at Tennessee Theater in Knoxville TN in April 1965.The outside of Dirty Jim's house was filmed at my home place at Concord Tennessee. The cast did an excellent job.My rating is high for the cast. The plot is good but could have been handled a bit better in my opinion.Overall, this movie is worth seeing. This movie portrays a young boy befriending people while he is on his own and shows a scared but loving kid.

Storyline:
Two men who have robbed a bank end up in a deadly pursuit of one another after one of them kills an innocent victim in attempt to steal the other's half.
User review:
The Kid and the Killers was shot and originally edited by Irv Rudley. a cinematographer/Editor in South Florida. The film producer, Mr. Dan Ross, took the film to New York for distribution, where some hot shot editor convinced him to re-edit the film prior to distribution. This editor chopped the film up into a disjointed mess which was then not good enough to be distributed at all. What a shame! The cast and crew spent 10 weeks in the mountains of Columbia, South America, using mostly local crew, along with the technical crew from the US. They lived on a ranch, deep in the mountains, where they had soldiers for protection from the local bandits. In fact, on one return to the ranch from a distant location, higher up in the mountains, the prop truck was followed and almost attacked by a bandit band. The crew defended itself, with prop guns and blanks, from the truck. The views in those mountains were spectacular, and Mr. Rudley took every advantage of that fact throughout the film.

German filmmaker Vincent Dieutre is accompanied by a close friend's teenage son on a trip to Berlin and in the process reminisces about his life as a gay man in his 2003 autobiographical documentary entitled Mon Voyage d'Hiver (My Voyage in Winter). Dieutre and his traveling companion, Itvan, visit numerous friends and landmarks, all holding special meaning to the 40-year-old filmmaker as they make their way to the German capital. As the pair grows closer as friends, Dieutre also takes on a paternalistic relationship with the boy as he details his own journey of self discovery — partially to assist Itvan with his own adult transformation, but also as a means for Dieutre's own legacy to endure. My Voyage in Winter was selected for inclusion into the Forum Program of the 2003 Berlin International Film Festival.
User review:
I've seen this movie recently, and was very surprised to see nobody commented on it yet. The point of this movie are, so obviously, not the story, the characters or the plot, but simply "the atmosphere". I'm not saying it's a good film, simply that I liked it. At the show I was attending almost everyone walked out of the theater, but I decided to just sit back and enjoy this strange "winter journey" film. It was hard to understand what it was about, but I didn't care: pointless art movie or not, it was much more bearable than "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle". Now, they didn't walk out of the that one, right?

User review:
Hjartasteinn (Heartstone) Iceland, Viewed at 2016 Venice Film Festival Director Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson, 34, Debut film. It's been a while since the films of Friðrik Þór Friðriksson put Iceland on the Cinema map in the eighties and nineties. This epic scale coming of age drama set in a remote fishing village far from the capital Reykjavik looks like the start of a new Icelandic wave. Fresh energy and a keen re-observing of what it's like to be a teenager on the verge of puberty, even dabbling a bit in homosexuality, makes this coming of age story something else. Against a magnificent backdrop of sea and mountains Guðmundur follows the entanglements of two simple outback families and their kids.
The film centers mainly on Thor, a sensitive twelve year old boy and his slightly older, taller, buddy Kristján who is probably gay, but also on their rough friendship with a couple of teenage girls and their problems with rough hewn parents. The performances of the two boys is astounding and Guðmundur's direction is totally assured. Given the setting this is a one of a kind new film experience on a set of old themes. Bravo! The two teenage actors, Baldur Einsasson (Thor) and Blær Hinriksson, (Kristján) are both talents to watch for in upcoming films from the Land of Geysers.

User review:
The movie does has a pretty photography, until you realize it looks pretty much as shaky camera movements and cheap instagram filters. Acting from many characters is simply poor. Caio is not wearing a shirt 90% of the time. OK, OK, we get it. He is hot. And has a huge line of pubes coming from his groin. The story is told in the synopsis of the movie. Girl has that strange sexually tense relationship with Caio. He is a junkie with a predilection for an easy life. He does actually wear more handcuffs than shirts. There are some stories inside the movie. Believable stuff as a homeless underage kid with a full sleeve tattoo. It looks like he will be more important for the story, mostly because he takes one third of the movie and another instagram still shot of a mirror. All of a sudden the story takes a spin (that was stated on the synopsis). We get a LOT of bad acting from random people. After some nonsense that seemed to be based on detective movies. One of the last and most important characters for the storyline act on such a terrible way that you really can't say if she is lying or telling the truth.

I saw Beat the Drum at a festival and talked with the producer and writer David McBrayer about this movie. He is the one who actually created the movie and it was his brainchild. The audience asked questions and he explained how he came up with the idea for the script and that it took him several years to produce because it is an inde film. Everyone loved it and applauded at the end, it was the best movie in the festival. I still think about this amazing movie and look forward to when it will be in theaters and on DVD. Why isn't it out there already? If you know anybody in the movie distribution business tell them to check it out. Beat the Drum is an amazing and moving movie experience and I highly recommend it.

I noticed this film got a low rating, maybe these people were not dog lovers. I thought the plot, if it was a plot, about the the "alien" dog was a little thin but the dogs were wonderful, the boy was great. Sometimes it's just good to go to the movies the enjoy a sweet little no-nonsense film that's just there for pure entertainment. I was entertained.

His grandfather is a rough no-nonsense farmer who's got little patience for a spoiled boy from the city. Plus Ricky is gay and has never come out to his grandfather and doesn't like the idea of having to be closeted for the week.

Lem Siddons is part of a traveling band who has a dream of becoming a lawyer. Deciding to settle down, he finds a job as a stockboy in the general store of a small town. Trying to fit in, he volunteers to become scoutmaster of the newly formed Troop 1. Becoming more and more involved with the scout troop, he finds his plans to become a lawyer being put on the back burner, until he realizes that his life has been fulfilled helping the youth of the small town.
User review:
I loved it for the look back at how things worked some 50 years ago. I know it is sugar coated. But the importance that people put in different things back then is good to see.
I love the view of how scouting as an organized group can bring the boys and the community together. My kids loved it and watch it again and again. That does not happen much with movies.

Am I really the first person in cyberspace to offer comment on these films? They are of varying quality but definitely worthy of more attention. Coming from the country that used to stigmatise homosexuality as being _la vice anglais_, a moniker that would today be more accurately applied to making slushy romantic comedies with Gwyneth Paltrow, these five short movies explore a wide range of responses to the gay experience. The first is worth the price of admission alone, at least here in Ireland where Arthouse cinemas are heavily subsidised: a riotously funny pythonesque fable demonstrating the sheer absurdity of homophobia which, in an ideal world all bible-belt queer-bashers would be forced to watch. The second is an inconsequential tale about a forgotton condom, the third a weird, disturbing tale exploring voyeurism and necrophilia. The fourth is more camp, a reversal of _The City and the Pillar_ in which a gay man discovers his latent heterosexuality. The fifth and longest casts a dark shadow over the rest, a story of an introverted drag queen and his young son. When I watched this film, most of the couples appeared to be in same-sex relationships: this is a shame, because these films deserve recogntion in a wider, non-gay audience.

Ron, who's young, slight, and privileged, is sentenced to prison on marijuana charges. For whatever reason, he brings out paternal feelings in an 18-year prison veteran, Earl Copan, who takes Ron under his wing. The film explores the nature of that relationship, Ron's part in Earl's gang, and the way Ron deals with aggressive cons intent on assault and rape. There's casual racism, too, in the prisoners and the guards, a strike called by Black prisoners, and the nearly omnipresence of hard drugs. Ron's lawyer is working on getting Ron out quickly, Earl has a shot at parole, and death seems to be waiting in the next cell. Will prison turn Ron into an animal?
User review:
Over the years there have been made many prison movies, but I dont think many of them really reflect how terrible a prison is.I think this movie shows it in a more realistic way than many other movies. The movie tells us that you got to have connections within the prison to survive and that friends are everything. This movie is the portrait of a young boy who ends up in a prison, and luckily he gets introduced with one of the leaders among the white inmates and therefor has a chance. In the roles you'll find Willem Dafoe (which does a wonderful job in this movie) and Edward Furlong who also is very good.As some other inmates you'll find Danny Trejo who always looks really tough and scary and Mickey Rourke in totally new role that I never thought would work for him.See the movie and find out what I am talking about.

From indie filmmaker Tommy Stovall comes this meshing of family drama and vampire film that doesn't have as much gore but relies heavily on drama.
Aaron is a widowed father who has been struggling with both the accident that killed his wife and his relationship with his twelve-year old son Tate. Tate, a hemophiliac, has been having trouble at school with a local bully, Justin. When Justin trips Tate up on purpose after gym class, Tate finds himself with a nosebleed that lands him in the hospital fighting for his life. When Tate suddenly finds himself better the next day, he is discharged from the hospital.

Storyline:
BAG MAN is the understated story of a 12 year old African American boy, who takes us on an introspective journey out of the city and into the remote countryside of upstate New York. With a mysterious duffle bag in hand, its contents unknown to us, we journey from the urban hustle of Harlem, into the winter-ravaged woodlands a world away. On the road, we slowly discover his real intentions, and the significance of what is hidden inside a young boy's bag.
User review:
A young boy gets woken up by his mother as she heads to work from their home in Harlem. Heading out for the day with a duffel bag, the boy is approached by a hustler looking to employ him, but continues on his way to the train station. Heading out of the city with his bag, the boy starts walking out into the countryside, through ruined buildings and rolling landscapes. And that is about as much as I want to say on this, and the reason for that is that the fact you are not sure where this is going is perhaps the main pleasure of it.
In terms of narrative it will leave you with more questions than answers, and to be honest there is not too much of an actual plot here, more just playing with the viewer by giving us several films we didn't expect on the way. It is beautifully shot and paced though; it goes for half the running time without really doing much but following our silent character, but yet it still engages and draws us in, whether it is the one-sided conversation with the hustler, or just beautiful steadicam shots following the character through rusting barns and down a train line. The music play into this by being patient and reflective. When the developments come they are a surprise and quickly lead to more which are impressive technically but also engaging from a narrative point of view. It must be said that the film does rather drop its effects and narrative on the viewer for impact, then gets out the door; it is hard not to see this for what it is, and you do need to forgive it for drawing you in with a rather measured tone, twisting it, then ending on the same measured tone. Were it a blockbuster it would be called out for style over substance, but to do that here is to do a disservice to how well it draws you in.

Pretty Boy 2015

Storyline:
'Pretty Boy' is a coming of age story of a young bullied teen, Sean, struggling with his sexuality and the hardships of high school. After his father finds some questionable magazines in his room, this devout Christian will go to any lengths to get his son to find the light and 'perform' the way a man should. Sean is introduced to Katie, a prostitute that understands the stigmas of modern society and helps him see the true light that is within him. 'Pretty Boy' is meant to inspire our youth to follow their hearts, to seek out their true family if '…the family they were born into isn't the family they're meant to be with.'
User review:
"Pretty Boy" is an American English-language short film from 2015. It runs for slightly over half an hour and received some more attention recently because the writer and director Cameron Thrower posted it on Youtube where it scored a solid amount of views already. Looking at the solid deal of awards recognition it received, it is probably his most known work. The cast does not really include any famous names. This is the story of a father who gifts his son a birthday present, namely a night with a prostitute to cure him from his homosexuality. If you say you heard that before, you are probably correct as this plot is exactly the same as in a Sara Gilbert ("Roseanne") short film from the new millennium, even if this one here is longer and the plot details also differ the longer the film goes. I think Rebekah Tripp gave a somewhat solid performance, but everybody else is forgettable, which is partially not only the actors' fault, but also the script's with the way the characters were written. With all the emotional impact this film is trying to make (unaccepted homosexuality, struggling father-son relationship, told to have sex with somebody he does not find remotely attractive, discrimination against prostitutes, dead mother, forbidden mother-son relationship), this is an ultimate tear-jerk movie, but you already realize by the sheer quantity of subjects, the ones I just listed, that it is absolutely impossible to deliver convincingly in terms of story-telling for a half-hour film. So yes, the film may seem touching and emotional, but only to the untrained eye. The trained eye will see a movie that is all just for the sake of it while never being a honorable achievement at all when it comes to realistic story-telling despite trying so hard to be relevant. This film is a failure and 4 stars out of 10 is still (maybe too much) on the generous side. I don't recommend checking it out.

Begoña is a thirty something consultant who has rebelled against her upper-middle-class background and has overdone it with sex ever since her youth. On recommendation of her psychoanalyst she keeps a video diary of her encounters. On Christmas Eve, reluctantly, Begoña goes to have dinner with her dysfunctional family: her stern mother, her married brother and her younger sister. Soon, Begoña, the family's black sheep, clash with her relatives.
User review:
Ok.. this is not an easy film to see, but I have to confess that I enjoyed every minute of the gross and rudeness of it… The performances are all great (at less I think they were all much more than believable) specially Laura Morante as Begoña… wow! The presence of Miguel Bosé was quite good, and the performance of young Miguel Angel Garcia was quite fine, even impressive… I think that this picture might be misunderstood as a poor and grotesque film but in fact I see it much more like an introspection of the human nature before adversities… Vicente Aranda probes to be a very risked director… I loved his work in Amantes but this is a total different kind of film making. Great ending, great ideas… pure originality. If you like bizarre movies about the alienation of human beings this is the one!

User review:
"THE DARK SIDE OF LOVE" Finding Destiny Amos Lassen Jorge Ameer is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated directors working in gay cinema and I suspect that the reason for that is that he makes us think. His movies are always entertaining but they also have something extra that causes us to evaluate what we have seen. His new film, "The Dark Side of Love" takes a look at identity and destiny as if affects four people whose lives come together as they search for who they are and where they are going. Steven (Harsha First)) is our guide here and he takes us by the hand early on and leads us into the film. With the theme of the universality of love, we are shown the four characters who must make decisions that will affect their lives.
Two brothers; Julian (Carlos Sales), a waiter and gay, Michael (Jason Susag), an abusive drug addict fight to gain control of their lives which seem to be going in the wrong direction. Julian develops a crush on a bachelor (who he meets in a very clever way) while the other brother, because of his drug habit and his feelings about his gay brother, has lost touch with reality and has trouble controlling his life. The brothers have been estranged but they are forced to come together with the death of their mother so that they can plan her funeral—a taxing situation, to say the least. Since they do not get along, their "relationship" tests both of them. It is so very difficult to prepare for the death of a parent and even though everything may well be worked out ahead of time, the actual death is not just heartbreaking but trying. Regardless of how they feel about each other, they are brothers and even when tempers flare up and emotions get very high, they know that this is the time to say goodbye to the woman who gave them life. Each brother is forced to look within himself and deal with his feelings, his anger and range and his prejudices.

User review:
Almut Getto created something only a few filmmakers are able to – an intimate portrait of young people falling in love for the first time. Although it all happens with one of the protagonists being HIV-positive, this is not another melodramatic movie about AIDS. No! "Fickende Fische" is first and above all a love story among two 16 year olds with all the normal problems, and AIDS being "just" one of them. Getto and her young actors perfectly walk the narrow line between intimate feelings and unrelenting fate – and manage to make the viewer an intimate part of this relationship.
Just as if we were one of the protagonists ourselves we feel our heart beat as they touch almost unknowingly for the first time; and feel with them each and every step of the following relationship.

The girl retreats into a fantasy world, finding solace in the forest with a strange wild boy. The teacher struggles to bring her back, whilst at the same time himself questioning the world of reality. The worlds of fantasy and reality clash with tragic consequences.
User review:
I wasn't quite sure what genre THE FOREST was for the first fifty minutes. It seemed to be a fable for children, with morals on the evil of bullying, as well as befriending ghosts and goblins in the forest. A little clumsy with the set-up, but that was all soon forgiven when the second half of this movie ventured into a dark mysterious path with some violence and other adult themes. So it eventually had my attention, and I was glad that my finger didn't press the stop button earlier.
The two main protagonists, the teacher and the silent student, were well crafted characters that held you in there until the story took an interesting turn for that second half. More importantly was the performances by the actors that made these characters shine. The child actress, Wannasa Wintawong, took the limelight, along with her companion, Tanapol Kamkunkam, who played the feral boy, protector of the forest. The two played off each other so well that it gave the film a sense of neorealism.

User review:
Great T&A film! Those of us who grew up with 1980's cable will remember this one as "She's 19 & Ready." I remember Joe Bob Briggs once commenting on it and saying "The woman looks like she's in her 20's. And for that matter, she'd not really ready. They should have called it "She's a 25-year-old tease.""
The highlight has to be the catchy musical number "Czhinghes Khan" – sung by the group of the same name. I don't think I spelled that name right. It's a bouncy tune sung in German, and features a group of hot chicks and mongol-looking men.

Knowing that Zack will be there with his new boyfriend, Casey immediately goes into panic mode, recruiting his new friend, Peter, to be his pretend boyfriend for the weekend, proving to Zack that he's had no trouble moving on from their relationship. It isn't long before all plans go awry, and Benji starts making eyes at Peter, while Zack realizes he might not be as over Casey as he'd thought. With the gay boys otherwise engaged, Lilly and Penny are soon locked in combat for the attention of Luis, the resort's sexy bartender, who also happens to be the sole straight man in sight. It's complete sexual chaos as the various couples battle it out to win the object (or objects) of their affections.
User review:
This film is about several gay guys going to a hotel for a disinhibited weekend.
"Eating Out: The Open Weekend" is not an ordinary gay movie. It has the obvious commercial elements, such as having lot of provocative scenes (well, sex always sells). However, beneath the superficiality, the plot is so romantic and sweet. It tells two ex-boyfriends who have moved on, and yet they still love each other. One thing led to another, they discover what they really want in their lives, culminating in the most romantic ending. It is such a heartwarming love story. Together with the obligatory female best friends, "Eating Out: The Open Weekend" is a very entertaining romantic comedy.

A young boy in military holding; photographs of destruction and mayhem in front of him. The officer demands answers – meanwhile in the film we flashback to an earlier time as the boy takes his older brother into the corn fields to show him a new friend he has made.
A few years ago now I watched Super 8 a few times and enjoyed it for all its reference points but confidence in itself. Apparently the makers of this film also watched that, along with many other Spielberg-produced films and other sci-fis down the years, because this is a film that really has been built off bits from other films. To start with the area where it is very positive – the effects. The makers have done a great low-budget effort here, making their alien fit into the landscape and interact with real things really well indeed. It moves smoothly and looks great; indeed the sound effects and whole design looks really good (including the rich green/yellow/blue Americana color scheme).

10 is for Marcel Schlutt who is naked throughout and utterly wonderful to behold. The film is pure Warhol in concept and really misses the mark pretty much although ultimately saved simply by the presence of Schlutt who is a chunk if there ever was one. In fact I went through my DVDs and discovered I have two other Schlutt films, Locked Up and Alex and Leo which I will be watching shortly since I am doing a mini-film festival with my best bud, something we are having an absolute blast doing. Of course, with IMDb as an instant resource at our fingertips the festival has sufficient ground to keep everything and everyone afloat. One thing my bud and I agreed on is that the title Unfaithful is never explained.

Pretty well acted and filmed, continuously entertaining, but left me very depressed behind. The latter came forth from observing the circumstances people have to live in, due to no fault of their own.
The whole movie long we are expecting his father. Eventually, he appears BUT improves nothing in the situation at hand. Even worse, while I was expecting (hoping) that he would intervene in the daily "meeting" with two guys on the street who confiscate part of Susa's earnings, he knowingly ignored the problem and did nothing to help.

Seen by your reviewer at the 2014 London Film Festival, 'Métamorphoses' transplants Ovid's 'Metamorphoses' to modern-day, working-class France (for those unfamiliar with Ovid – I'm not sure I'd ever heard of him – he was a poet from ancient Rome). A group of Roman deities wander the countryside meddling in human affairs – meddling that generally involves nudity and livestock.
I can't make up my mind whether or not I like this film; I will say it was engrossing. Despite the 'flashbacks within flashbacks within flashbacks' structure, writer/director Christophe Honoré manages to keep the storyline, such as it is, flowing neatly and the viewer does not get confused about where he is in the narrative.

This is a wonderful heartfelt movie. All the children as well as Alan Thick gave super performances. Definitely something you could watch with the whole family. If you liked the Not Quite Human series I'd recommend this.

Obviously, this film was made with some other in mind. The homage it represents for films where kids played a key role in their unsettling plot is, to say the least, outstanding.
