User review:
I remember first seeing this film in 1968 when it struck me as an important piece of art. I saw it again on UK television in the early 70's and the second viewing confirmed my first judgement.
It is the story of two children of very different classes, one well cared for but sad, the other almost feral, but (mostly) happy. The atmosphere of genuinely enjoyed play on the young actors part, comes through in many of the scenes and I can still smile to myself over some of them, even though I have not seen the film for thirty years.

This is an excellent example of the japanese 'pink' films. Short, well-acted and directed, and quite sexy in it's own, modest way, without being graphic. Something Americans don't seem to be able to do very well. A nice little soft-core film, besides being just a good movie.

The small cast served as the only crew on this intimate and humorous film featuring real interviews with recent college graduates and a documentary approach to the graphic sex and conversations.
User review:
What a time we live in when someone like this Joe Swan-whatever the hell is considered a good filmmaker…or even a filmmaker at all! Where are the new crop of filmmakers with brains AND talent??? We need them bad, and to hell with mumblecore!
This movie is about nothing, just as the characters in the film stand for nothing. It's this horrible, so-called Gen Y, that is full of bored idiots, some of which declare themselves filmmakers with out bothering to learn anything about the craft before shooting. Well, Orson Welles was a filmmaker. John Huston was a filmmaker. Fellini was a filmmaker. Dreyer was a filmmaker, etc. Current films like these show just how stupid young, so-called "filmmakers" can be when they believe going out with no script, no direction, no thought, no legit "camerawork" (everything shot horribly on DV), no craft of editing, no nothing, stands for "rebellious" or "advanced" film-making. Nope, it's called ignorance and laziness or just pure masturbation of cinema (and there actually is an in-your-face "jack-off shot," so be ready).

Storyline:
Take a clichéd Horror-story beginning, a remote Gothic mansion, an insane hostess, a group of strangers (four men, three women and a gorilla) and you pretty much begin to see that this is not meant to be a serious film, but rather a parody of several other (older and better) ones. Social and sexual confusion & misunderstanding guarantees that this odd cast of characters will come together and entertain & amuse.
User review:
Three days after watching 'Thundercrack!' I still have to convince myself that I didn't dream the whole thing up. This is quite possibly THE loopiest movie ever made! In its own way as bizarre as anything Warhol, Waters, Jodorowsky, Lynch or Buttgereit have ever come up with. There's no way I can convey just how weird this is, but it's a bit like 'Chelsea Girls' meets 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' on acid, with a touch of 'La Bete' on the side. Part parody, part porno, part I don't know what, this movie is way out. Way, waaay out! Highly recommended for fans of strange movies, the campier and trashier the better. 'Thundercrack!' almost makes 'Pink Flamingos' look mundane…

Motion Picture Rating (MPAA)
Rated R for sexual content, some graphic nudity, language, violence and drug use – some involving teens
User review:
I have not seen a movie like "Disconnect" in a long while. It has this style of telling about the lives of various different seemingly unconnected characters working up to one common story that intertwines all of them together. A decade ago, this style was very popular. This was first brought to prominence by the acclaimed Mexican movie "Amores Perros", and then we saw it in "Traffic", "21 Grams", culminating in the Oscar Best Picture Award given to "Crash." "Disconnect" brings us back to those days when complex intersecting story lines ruled the cinemas.

Prinz in Hölleland 1993
1h 36min | Drama
Storyline:
The story is set soon after the reunification of West and East Germany, and is about the disintegrating relationship between Jockel a political activist and Stefan a heroin junkie, and their involvement with a bisexual Micha. A 2nd plot line is concerned with Micha's young son Sascha, and his life in a rundown world of drugs and poverty. His fascination with the creepy, exhibitionist puppeteer Firlefanz, whose grotesque puppets enact a gay fairy tale paralleling the relationship of Stefan and Jockel. Central to the disintegration of these characters is the drug dealer Ingolf, who 'pulls their strings' with heroin, instead of puppet wires.
User review:
This was a very different movie, and I guess the only way someone would enjoy it is if they are also very different OR very open-minded. I did really enjoy the movie though, it brought together many emotions and showed, in a way, a life (or lives) not lived my many. Seeing the the underground/counter-culture, the effects of drug use, gay culture, and the whole surrounding of it all was very interesting. Don't let it's simple, yet complicated and hard to follow, story line fool you- it is not simple, and when viewed with the right mind, very worth your time. I am not an activist of any sort, nor am I really political in any way, but I found this movie to be a great escape and really did enjoy it. Michael Stock did a wonderful job acting as well.

Outrageously funny. Initially the movie looked incredibly silly, using what appeared to be scenes from 1970s porn movies with a voice-over. At this point the only good thing was the voice over, as it seemed to be done by one, at most two, men and used for a variety of characters, including women. It reminded me of Woody Allen's "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" where Allen took a Japanese action movie and overdubbed it with his own English narration and dialogue, turning it into a comedy.

User review:
Truly this is such a great film. Right from the start you will be gripped by this film and you will sit watching it with total attention until its completion. The drama is so well constructed, but there is so much more to the film than that.
The four main characters are two sets of brothers surviving on the edge. Life at the beginning of the 19th century is very tough and so these brothers are very closely bonded. You might say there is a homo-erotic element to this film, however although I am a gay many myself I don't think these closely bonded males are in any way being depicted as gay. I think rather, they cling to each other because that is all the security they have.

They run away, but now the killer's after them – however after Eddie visits a dolphin show, he's more concerned about their life than his.
User review:
A beautiful, powerful and very much underrated British gritty gay thriller from the late 80's, released in the UK as The Fruit Machine and in the US as Wonderland. It is passionate, resolute, beautifully directed, filmed and played that I would have thought it would have been higher in the book Top 50 Most Influential Gay Movies of All Time than the ranking it was given.
The Fruit Machine is a wonderful and poignant tale of growing up, it combines the rite of passage, buddy flick with a road movie genres in perfect symmetry and also shoves in a bit of a thriller just for the sake of it. BAFTA winner Philip Saville directs Emile Charles and Tony Forsyth as Eddie and Michael, two gay mates on the very brink of adulthood as they head into the adventure of their lives. These two friends may both be gay but their sexuality is the only thing they seem to have in common. In all other respects, they are as different as the proverbial chalk and cheese, Eddie is soft, gentle, sensitive and fragile. He adores nothing more than watching old classic black and white movies with his mum. Michael is much more streetwise, tough, manly and loves video games.

Storyline:
Two stages of a Dominican-American's life; first as a boy trying to bond with his young mother, then a 21-year-old looking for love in New York City.
User review:
Elliot is real, fun-loving, passionate, trusting, intelligent, loyal and tough. A young man who will do what it takes to find a healthy, loving relationship with another man. He's looking for a boyfriend and a mate. Life is hard and sometimes even quite brutal. But every time you knock Elliot down, he gets back up again! He's not capable of giving up. He loves life too much!
Elliot Loves is about relationships. There is zero camp in this film. The sex scenes are tastefully done. There is very little stereotyping. Homophobia and prejudice against LGBTQ people within and outside the Hispanic community is not addressed at all, which I see as a sign of progress. The Gay community in 2013 is finally free to exam love, commitment and the difficult process of finding a mate as heterosexuals have been doing since the birth of filmmaking in the early 1900's!

In New York, Dr. Norman Boyle (Paolo Malco) assumes the research about Dr. Freudstein of his colleague Dr. Petersen, who committed suicide after killing his mistress. Soon his parents hire the mysterious babysitter Ann (Ania Pieroni) and creepy things happen in the house, When Bobby goes to the basement, his parents discover the secret of the house.
"Quella villa accanto al cimitero", a.k.a. "The House by the Cemetery", is a sinister horror movie by Lucio Fulci. The screenplay is confused with poor development of the characters, but the supernatural atmosphere is creepy and the camera-work is great. The metaphoric conclusion, with the soul of Bob following Mae and her mother, is excellent. My vote is seven.

Synopsis:
"Twinklight is a dramatic and graphic expose on the secrets, horrors and sexual fantasies of vampires. Watch as these young and deadly monsters take whatever pleasures they desire, reveling in a world of unrestrained gratification and hardcore twink fucking.
In this feature film Billa is an innocent twink searching for a new beginning. What he finds is the dark and dangerous world of vampires; an erotic and cryptic society filled with fucking and blood sucking. Billa spirals deeper into the underworld as he falls for the forbidden but irresistible Edmund, a strong and powerful vampire. It is a hot and exhilarating journey that will leave you emotionally moved and wildly aroused.
User review:
Calling Twinklight the best gay vampire adult film is not an exaggeration. Since first seeing Twinklight, my recommendation has been that every gay vampire fan should see the film, even if you are not a fan of twinks. Having seen every gay vampire adult film, it's quite easy to see what has come before and to fairly compare them to Twinklight. Twinklight not only compares well to other gay vampire porn films, but up against many regular vampire films both in terms of a solid storyline and plausible acting.

Run an ad in a paper. "Open tryouts for Porn Movie". See who shows up. Put them in a frilly pink bedroom or a dark dungeon. Each room has a one way mirror and speaker that lets the producer see and talk to the hopeful porn actor/actress. Let the fun begin.
This film is fascinating! Not as porn but as a window into human behavior. A disembodied voice tells you to take off all your clothes, and promises that if you masturbate you will be in the movies. What do you do?

Harry Jr. feels that something is wrong with his sister and seeks out help with the good witch Eunice St. Clair that lives in the building.
User review:
I have to give this movie a 6/10 because this is a very decent film that deserves praise. I don't know why so many people hate it. For one the little evil character, Troll, has a personality. The kids have personality as well and they're not some stupid one-sided characters. There are funny jokes inserted in the dialogue and the people who occupy the apartment are funny too. Unlike some movies from the same era this one actually has pretty good special effects that are pretty scary too. Just wait till you see a guy turn into a bunch of plants! Thats gross, but its also good effects. Check this movie out and remember it has nothing to do with the really crappy movie Troll 2.

Storyline:
A look behind the scenes of the Czech gay porn boom. Porn producer Dan Komar, and his ex-lover/star Aaron Hawke, shown what life is like on both sides of the camera.
User review:
In the intriguing documentary "All Boys," film maker Markku Heikkinen travels to Prague and takes on the rise and stagnation of the Czech Boys gay porn phenomenon. While he talks to many in the scene, he concentrates on four particular men; Director Dan Komar, and three of his actors Rudy (stage name Aaron Hawke), Josef and Filip. While each of these men has a striking story, it is Aaron's that forms the film's emotional core.
Komar is an adult trapped in arrested development, surrounding himself with perpetual 18 to 20 year olds and making movies of them having sex. It's hard to tell if he's got any emotional investment in his charges; frankly, he is a blank slate emotionally. Josef is a boy who only wants to provide for his impoverished mom. Filip is a straight boy and a go-getter, who works three jobs and does porn for the extra money. These three stories seem to work on the supply and demand theory. Komar has money and jobs, the boys are broke and in desperate need. In a country that has just broken into uncharted territory, these fresh and innocent faces lunge right into an industry that would die without a constant conveyor belt of fresh names.
