Storyline
Midnight Sun is both a family film as well as an action/adventure film, taking place in the ice fields of Northern Canada. When Luke discovers that a young polar bear cub has been separated from his mother, he sets out to find a way to reunite the two. Goran Visnjic joins the cast as Muktuk, a half Inuit and half Canadian, who knows the terrain where the polar bears live and who agrees to help the boy. When a floating iceberg divides the party, it is up to Luke to protect himself and the cub from both the dangers of the wild, and the elements to complete his mission.
User review:
@nega reviewer, I appreciate all your reality checking points for this movie, maybe you should make that your hobby, you can do that also to Free Willy sequels, in there a child is getting friendly and cozy with a big big Killer Whale! The point is, its really rare we have these kinds of movies that make us aware we are not the only ones existing on this planet, but there are also other creatures too that lives here, that needs our attention and maybe even care. are you aware, I think I read sometime that Polar Bears are getting extinct, I don't know how and why that's happening, maybe there are still poachers that kill them for their furs to be made as fur coats. but as a person living on this world, Im concerned for them. We are not the only creature God created here, God also created these animals wild or tamed ones, so we cant just always put fear ahead of us to block us from seeing the truth. Just to end, there are only two basic Commandments God gave us that will cover all of His will, to love God above all else, and to treat our neighbors with compassion. where do you think caring for animals and nature falls in the Commands, none other than the first Commandment, we love God if we treat His creation with care like responsible stewards of this world, His creation! OK, hope its clear to all of us, God bless!
